UK data-cabling contractor

geo/aeo — a scorecard, an interactive, a rebuilt cluster

A network-cabling company that wanted to be the answer engines' answer for AI-ready offices: instruments to capture the lead, a content cluster rebuilt, and a redirect layer that fired in two places at once.

questions in the AI-readiness scorecard

the file — read in order

01

the brief

  • Answer-engine visibility for a niche the company could own; lead capture that earns the email; a knowledge base and glossary the models can quote.

02

the engineering

  • A six-question AI-readiness scorecard producing a scored, branded report and a lead; a connected-building interactive; a cabling cost calculator as the embedded-interactive pattern.

  • A wireless cluster rebuilt as a hub, three spokes and ten industry leaves; glossary and knowledge base published.

03

the hard part

  • Redirects lived in two layers that both fired: a prefix-matched server rule was hijacking every subpath before the plugin's exact-match table could see it.

  • A naive search-replace on a short path would have corrupted every longer path containing it — so replacements were domain-anchored, longest-first, scoped to content tables only, with the old slugs kept intact as live redirect sources.
